The Panchet Dam is located in the Purulia district, known for its breathtaking scenery perfectly surrounded by lush green paddy fields and tranquil rivers. One side of the Panchet dam falls in the district of Purulia while the other side falls in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. It takes around 1hr 25min depending on the chosen route and traffic conditions. We can also enjoy beautiful glimpses of the Damodar River with scenic landscapes.
It is a budget-friendly option, but it takes longer as the travel time can take up to 3 to 4 hours. There are several trains connecting Durgapur and Asansol which is the nearest railway station to Panchet.
