Shantiniketan

Santiniketan is situated in the tranquil Bolpur subdivision of Birbhum district in West Bengal and is established by Maharshi Devendranath Tagore. It was later expanded by his son, Rabindranath Tagore whose vision led to the establishment of Visva-Bharati University. By train:
It is the fastest and most affordable option to reach Santiniketan as several trains like Black Diamond Express, Mayurakshi Express, and Coalfield Express run daily between the two cities.

By Taxi/Car:
Choosing the car always allows you to stop along the way and explore other villages and nature. The best route is via NH 19 and Panagarh – Morgram State Highway which takes around 1 hour and 17 minutes. On the other hand, Bolpur – Kabi Joydeb Road takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes and it previews more scenic with natural beauty along the way.
